Sometine ago lire Fred Ellsworth, Secretary
of the Alumni Association here at the University of
Kansas, sent me a clever lapel ping in the shape of
a basketball, that you had mde and sent to hime

Next year will be the 25th amiversary of
my coaching here at the University of Kansas, and it
will also be the 50th amiversay of the game of basket}
ball, I thought perhaps we might use something along
the lime of this lapel pin for thet occasions
