My dear Dr. Allen:

The closest that I can figure the cost
of new lumber needed in the construction of my daugh-
ter's play house is $20. Therefore, I am enclosing
a check for 25 per cent of this amount, or $5, in
payment for the 4x4's and the shiplap siding which I
took from the handball court pile.

Your courtesy in letting me have this
lumber at this price is greatly appreciated.
