Dear "Phog" ; :

At a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce Sports
Committee yesterday afternoon, it was enthusiastically decided
that the community wants to show, in some appropriate manner,
their appreciation to you, as coach, and to the Basketball
Squad, for the great season you are about to complete. After
careful consideration, it was unanimously decided to give a
banquet in your honor.

 

Because Lawrence is now in the throes of a
World Premiere, we suggest about two weeks from now, if that
is agreeable to you.

 

The purpose of this letter is merely to let you
know of our plans and we shall expect all of you at such a gf
date as will be satisfactory to you.

 

Phog, will you please give this message to the de 2
boys for us. Along with it goes our confidence in you and ‘a
our every wish for success as you battle Indiana for the
Nati onal Championship.
