Wovember 15, 1941 My. John Bunn Dean of Men Stanford University Palo Alte, California Dear Johnny, ‘Mr. CG. G. Bayles, our Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds, who ted here in the School of Engineering in 1916, is desirous of obtaining two tickets for the Rose Bowl Game. He came in last week and made inquiry and I told him that I would write you and see if it would be possible to obtain them. I imagine the tickets are $4.40 unless they have gone up. I did not want to presume on your friendship by promising him any tickets until I had written you. I know that conditions change from year to year and I preferred to write and see if it would be possible to obtain for him the two ticketse Wow, he is not certain thet he can make the trip end since this is — merely an inquiry I would appreciate it if you would write and let me know what the chances are on obtaining them for him and he can make his decision. # I trust that everything is going well with you and Bonnie. Things are moving along 0.X. with us with the exception of our football team which seems not to be doing too well at present. We are playing Kansas State this afternoon, and if we win everything will be lovely. My basketball prospects are fairly good, but I am afraid that I am going to have the same difficulty in ny basketball that Gwinn Henry is having in his football. There are about five of the boys that are training on the football team and there are five of the fellows on the basketball team who haven't been training, but will if they play. Please give my kindest regards to Clark Shaughnessey and my brother, Colonel Pete. | Sincerely, Director of Physical Education and Recreation | Varsity Basketball and Baseball Coach
