STANFORD UNIVERSITY OFFICE OF THE DEAN OF MEN STANFORD UNIVERSITY, CALIFORNIA November 26, 1941 Dr. Forrest C. Allen University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Dr. Allen: Thank you for your letter of November 15. Regardless of whether Stanford is chosen for the Rose Bowl or not, there are conference agreements whereby each school is entitled to an allotment of tickets. It will, therefore, be possible to secure a ticket for Charles Bayles. The tickets are $4.40 each, plus mailing charges for registration, etc. If he is planning definitely to go, he should let me have this information together with his check for tickets at the earliest possible moment. Lt am glad to have your summary of athletic prospects at Kansas. The football team seems to have gone up and down. I gather from What you do not Say, rather than from what you do say, that there is some lack of discipline and training. I know this can't happen on the basketball squad. You may know that Brother Pete is up to his neck in work this year. Every able-bodied man here in school is in the ROTC so Pete is running classes all day and my guess is some nights. I shall be glad to pass on your greeting to him and to Clark. Cordially yours,
