‘Supt. Robert D. Baldwin _ Riverview Drive Morgantowm, West Virginia Thank you so much for your very good letter of Nov. 2 inviting le to be your gest at Morgantown this week-end. Wothing would delight me more than to do just this thing, but } i am sorry to say thet I'll have to take a raincheck. Five years ago the Beard of Regents issued an order electing a new Director of Athletics and making me Head of the Department of Physical Education and coach of basketball. Our basketball team was winning consistently and our football team was lesing consistently. Therefore, some argued that the Director of Ath- letics was spending more time on his basketball than he was in — furthering the football interests. So I have nothing to do with the administration of athletics except in my basketball coaching. I've been very happy with this change ~ so much of the grief has departed from my work along with the football. - So I want to thank you and assure you that nothing would delight me more than to have a nice visit with you and your son Bobs | My son, Sob, graduated last yoar and he is now at the University of Pennsylvania as a freshman in their medical college. Eleanor, our youngest, is a junior at the University of Pennsylvania. She wented to go along with Bob, doubtless to get away from home and be on her own, and we thought it might be e good thing for her. She took her first two years here and was very happy, but I believe» _ that being away from home will give her a new viewpoint which is always helpful. Mrs. Lindley, the wife of Chancellor Lindley, is living across from us in an apartment at Sth and Louisiana. However, she is building a new home and expects to be in it at University Heights some time about Dec. 1. 7 _We were grieved to hear of the death of Mrs. Baldwin, I know ' hew lonely you and Bob mst be, but I am sure that this loss has made you and Bob more companionable under the circumstances.
