Dear Mr Allen:

Your nice letter written within the past 40 days
has been mislaid again. My face you don't remember
because I met you during the rush week when your
nephew 'Hub' Allen pledged Delta and told you so in

the front yard of the house. Date--fall, 1929.

My check is inclosed for $4.10 for your latest book
On basketball; please autograph and every Kansas City
jad who reads it will sign it in the back. My hope is
that they shall receive their collegiate =— in
that game at U of Kansas, and under you.

Henry Shenk will hear from me later as I believe my
friend, Otto Rost, the KU football guard & tackle spoke
rather highly of him some 10 years ago, If Shenk needs
any help to work his team up to an all-out fighting
piteh for the Nebraska feud, I shall write Manhattan
and see if they can help those Jayhawks lick the Huskers.

Must leave for work now, Mr Allen, in this Indian
Summer downpour. Will try to make each cover interest-
ing enought to be put into your cover collection. If
you are interested in American commemoratives, I do
_ have access to a large variety you might like.

Keep up your splendid work with the youth on Mount
Oread, and keep teaching them to never admit defeat un-
til the final gun is fired. ©
