June 6, 1944. Mr. Pat Lanahan, 130 W. Crawford, Salina, Kansas. Dear Pat; I had agreed to speak at Salina on June 6, but Den Belen, the chairman of the committee who was to have me, cancelled the appointment, so I will not be in Salina. I am sorry to learn of the knee injury. Doubte less the flutter kick in swimnaing might have done something te your knee. When you relaged it entirely and then put tension upon it as you would in a flutter kick, I would not be surprised if you would have some trouble. I would not know, of course, whether the mee is in places or not. My best advice would be to have you determine what reactions you have on locomotion. I will be glad to hear from you and I hope your knee is better. Sincerely yours, Director of Physical Education, PCA:Ai | Varsity Basketball Coach.
