Dear Dr. Allens;

We have just completed the new modified backboard,
using the 32" radius as shown on page l7 of the
1939-1940 rules book. This board includes the new
goal support, which we have designed and which is
necessary to attach the goal to the 3" fly of the
modified board.

We are offering Porter the use of this new modified
backboard and goal, and have arranged to manufacture
about a dozen of these boards for distribution around
the country to the Coaching Schools, as previously
discussed with you. I am wondering whether you would
like one of these new boards shipped to you in Law—
rence for experimental purposes. Please let me hear
from you.
