Dear President : I have been appointed by the Athletic Board as Varsity Baseball Coach for the season of 1941. All of the regulars with the exception of two have either quit school or graduated. Our last year's freshman material coming to the Varsity this year is the slimmest in the way of outstanding prospects in all Kansas history. There- fore, we are definitely in need of replacements. We want hitterse If your fraternity has any baseball men who have had high school or independent baseball experience and who have completed 27 academic hours in the College or 28 in the Law School efEngineering School, we would be desirous of having them report to use College baseball is essentially an amateur sport and we expect to keep it that waye Training is just as essential for baseball as it is for football, basketball or track, sowe want men who will train, who are enthusiastic and who like to play baseball.
