A very good friend of mine and a former star all-around athlete at the University of Kansas, Melvin Thornhill of Protection, Kansas, phoned me last Friday night asking that I reserve two tickets -for him and Mra. Thornhill for your tournament beginning December 26. He wants season tickets or tickets for all the games. He, of course, expects to pay for them, but is asking that I make the reservations © for him. He will appreciate it if you will personally attend to this } ; There is one other item that he asked me to take care of and I am asking you to do it for me. He wants a room for himself and his wife at the sane hotel that we are staying at; namely, the Skirvin. -He knows, and I know, that all the hotel rooms will be crowded end it would be impossible for him to get this room unless you made the reserva- -tion for him. Therefore, I am anxious for him to have it and I am anxious that you kindly extend this favor to him through us, If it is only possible for him to get the room by making the reservation in our ‘name, then I want that done and he can settle with us. He is flying from Kansas to Oklahoma especially for this tournament and I am anxious that he be accommodated. I called Hank Iba before the Tulsa-football game and lank made reservations for Mr. Thornhill for this football game, So you can see that our friend is quite a fan and is anxious to get fixed up without any possibility of a doubt.
