Since Uncle Sam bs so prompt in his deliveries I feel
that by dictating a response the moment your letter arrived will
save tncle Sem an additional telegram. Therefore, I am writing
you our regret that we will not be able to enter the tournament.

I would like very mich to de this for you personally,
but the longest trips we are making for our entire basketball
season this year are the Big Six games. We had offers from Denver,
New York and Milwaukee, but turned them all down to keep within
the ODT's expressed wish of conserving all travel where it was
not shsolutely necessary.

I do hope you have a splendid tournament, Hal, and some
