FRED MEDART MANUFACTURING Co. POTOMAC AND DE KALB STREETS SAINT Lours, Mo. J. BANASHEK September 27; 1943 SECRETARY Dr. Forrest C. Alien Director of Physical Education University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Doctor Allen: After sending the telegram with regard to your request for World Series tickets, we received your letter dated September 16. It is very difficult this year to have any definite in- formation concerning the possibility of securing tickets for the St. Louis games. To keep the tickets out of the hands of scalpers, the Baseball Club is witholding general distribution until after Ootober 1. They feel this is ample time since the first game will not be played in St. Louis until October 10. The Company has made no application for tickets, although some of the individuals connected with our office have, and we do not know at this time whether they will be the fortunate ones to secure tickets. After the tickets are issued, I will have a better idea as to the possibility of securing some tickets for you. I will wire you as soon as I have any definite information. it may interest you to know that Mr. Medart resigned as President of this Company about a month ago.
