Dear Doc:

I received your letter relative to polling the
coaches so that we could draw up another schedule to
include Kansas State. Would you accept this as an
alternative idea? We have drawn up this one schedule
with five schools and in many cases have arranged our
nonconference schedule to fit in with:this schedule.
I know this is true in my case,

Kansas State has never stated that she intends to
play a conference schedule; it may be she plans on playing
pretty much a local schedule. J:talked with Veenk when
the announcement of Kansas State came out in the paper.

He felt that it was up to Mike Ahearn to contact us and
said that we would wait until we heard from Kansas State
before we would do anything.

dust expressing my own feeling, I would say this,
If Kansas State is desirous of playing each of the other
schools, then we should try to fit her into our schedule.
This could be handled by correspondence, between Kansas
State and the other schools, rather than have another
meeting and draw up a new schedule. It is up to Kansas
State to start the ball rolling if she is interested in
this kind of a schedule. Be glad to hear of your reactions
to the above,
