Dear Doctor Allen:

I was sorry to get your letter saying that you
won't be able to compete in the All-College tournament because I
had held out just a little hope that perhaps Kansas could enter.

If there's ever a chance later we certainly
would feel honored to have the Jays here.

Since you can't come to the tournament, do you
stippose there's a chance for you to play the “klahoma Aggies here
sometime this winter? I know this is a little irregular, schedyling
a college game through a newspaper, but I admire greatly both you
and Henry Iba and I'd certainly like to see your teams together
again this winter. Since it seems you might have trouble getting
together in Lawrence and Stillwater, howm about a neutral site---
the auditorium here? I'm sure we could make a very attractive
doubleheader out of it and there should be some money int ih for
both of you.

If it's at all possible for you to consider such |= =
a date, won't you let me know and I'll see whether Iba wouldn't be aS
interested?
