Naturally, the newspaper and radio did not subtract anything from the story that they gave me, but it is true that they had some grounds for everything that was said. To attempt to explain it would be only to alibi. Today's mail brought letters from four states, and everyone I meet on main street reminds me in one way or another of what has happened. I am now planning on buying a gun and shooting the next man who says anything. You are safe as I do not have a gun as yet.
