Dear Dr. Allen:

I have just received your letter of October 9, and am
sorry to hear that the check in payment of the golf clubs
was not enclosed. This was check No.16438 and we are
stopping payment, as it may have been enclosed with
another letter.

I hasten to enclose another check and I'm sorry that there
was an oversight on this.
