Dear Dr. Allen:

Mr. A. W. Wigglesworth, the president of our company, and I played
golf Saturday afternoon, when he saw my new clubs and immediately
fell in love with them.

While what you told me about getting any athletic equipment I con-
sidered as a personal proposition, if you can get a duplicate of
my set of clubs for Mr. Wigglesworth without embarrassment or any
inconvenience to yourself, I will very much appreciate it.

If I did not feel as though I were pretty well acquainted with
you, I would not even suggest such a thing unless I felt that you
would feel perfectly free to say "no", if for any reason this is
not a desirable thing to do.

In the event that you can get a set of clubs for him, you can have
them sent directly to him or to me, and either he or I, whomever
you desire, will immediately send you our check.

Jane and Elwood were out to dinner Friday night, and we expected
them to stop in psterday, but understand that they were busy doing
some painting and other work around their apartment. With very
