Your letter of September 12 with invoice from A. G. Spalding
and Brothers was received this morning, and I hasten to en-
close my check in payment of the same.

I cannot tell you how very much I appreciate your kindness in
making it possible for me to get these fine clubs, and you

will be interested to know that Pha vae, whore» I shot a very
much better game than I have bee 4, the wood clubs I have.

Mrs. Mons and I had the happy idea of meeting Jane and Elwood
yesterday morning when they stepped off the City of Denver, and
they were both surprised and pleased to see us.

Elwood said when they got to their apartment they found the
living room piled to the ceiling with boxes.
