Thank you for your letter of July 20 and for the catalog re-
Ceived soon after,

Will you please write me what arrangements ere made for the
horses, whether a fee is paid for the use of them by the
students, and if so, how much this is? Are the horses brought
to the campus forthe use of the students, or are the students
+aken to the stables? Or are the stables on the campus? In

a number of instances I have found that the latter is true.
In some cases the horses &@re owned by the college or univer-
Sity; in others, the owner of the horses is given stables and
pasturage for them on the campus,

Will you please write me what is the salary paid the instructor
of the classes in horsemanship, and what is the average number

of both men and women students taking the work each semester?
