June 5th, 1941 Mr. Frank, Murphy Manager of Beechcraft Flyers Ball Club Beech Aircraft Corporation Wichita, Kansas ; Dear Frank: We had but four ball players on our Varsity team this year: Eddie Hall, catcher, in-fielder or out-fielder, general utility man. His home is in Sublet, Kansas, He is undecided whether he will attend. summer school here, Forrest Knute Kressie, pitcher, in-fielder, out- fielder, general utility man; hit .426. He is by far the best ball player we have but I understand he is signed up with the Iola Ban Johnson team for the summer. John Burge, pitcher, out-fielder; he hit .295. He has a job with the Recreation Department in Kansas City © for the summer, Bob Allen, first base, general utility man; hit .326, He is to study medicine next year at the University of Pennsyl- vania. And, since he has been in school four years, I think he is going to take things pretty easy and just coast a bit. I'm sorry that we cannot help you but if I learn the identity of a real good ball player, I shall be happy to refer him to you for your attention. With all good wishes, I an, Sincerely yours, Director of Physical Education and Recreation-Varsity Basketball and Baseball Coach.
