We have had resort weather here « You
would never know it was Kansas. It has been wonderfully ideal. The
nights are as cool as Colorado nights, and the days as pleasant as
anyone would want.

| By the way, I forgot to tell you about Gordon Gray's
father. They diagnosed 1% cancer, out into his abdomen, took a look.
end. sewed it up. Said he would never make ite Well, he did get well
end it wasn't cancer at all - it was stomach trouble. He is well end
happy on his job as engineer for the Santa Fe at Newton. ‘That has been
two.or three years ago, and he eats everything and goes every place.
You can imagine he is not saying very nice things about diagnosticiens
who guess and don't hit. I am sure he will be a fit subject for ene
rollment in the school of Christian Selence, The other members of the
femily are not so hot.» 1 am not speaking of the women folks, Iam
s mg of the men. Max was here in school last fall, and I believe —
that he made pretty good grades, but he tried out for the basketball
team and his coordination was not anything to compare with Gordon,

He didn't make the squad. It seemed as if Gordon had more stuff than
the rest of them,
