It is my understanding that you have written
articles in nationally circulated periodicals anent the
subject of sports, concerning which you are irrefutably
recognized to have conspicuously distinguished yourself
as an eminent authority, particularly as regards the
sport of basketball. May I say here in veracious
tribute to you, that the records of your teams through
the scene of previous years certainly redound to your
own credit.

Dr. Allen, if the presumption is not mis-
placed, I should like very much to hear from you in
regard to this question: Is it not true, from a monetary
and attendance point of view, that basketball surpasses
any other sport¢?
