Dear Doc:

I have your letter of May 2 in which you
suggest that I call a meeting of the Big Six basketball
coaches to meet in Lincoln. S

I really don't believe that I have the
authority to call this meeting as it would have to come
through the Directors. I believe, though, that most of
us will be there. I am not positive that I can make it
but if I can 1 will, and we can informally get together
after the Friday night dinner,

I have turned over to Veenker the requests
that we made in our March meeting, and I am also
including to each of the Big Six basketball coaches a
copy of these requests so that each of us in turn can
take these matters up before the director goes to the
meeting. I believe this will get the desired results
for us rather than have the Directors feel that it is
necessary for us to have another meeting,
