Dear Doctor Allen:

Your proposal to eliminate short shots in basketball,
as you weré quoted in the papers this morning is of particular interest
to us here, and the more we have thought about it today, the more "sold"
on the idea are our basketball coach and myself, It looks as tho it would
be a blessing to small schools such as ours,

We are having an interclass tournament two weeks hence,
and it is our plan to try the suggestions you make.

Our team this year has been made up of medium height
boyso and when they come in contact with a team of taller boys we are
handicapped from the start. I am sure your proposal will help us overcome
such differences. : :

I hope you can sell Ward Lambert,of Purdue, on the idea
when you meet up with him at the National Association of Coaches in April.
Also how about bringing Purdue to Kansas for a couple of games next year ?
