Dear "Phog",

I have just received an appointment to head the Physical Hduca-
tion Department at the University of Wyoming.

Since I have not been active in this work for some time, you

can realize that I am a little anxious to get some rather defin-
ite information concerning the programs offered in other schools.
The past several years the Physical Education program has been
considérably curtailed at the University of Wyoming. It is my
plan to enlarge the program as I go along and so would like to
have you send me the program offered at the University of Kansas.

I am not well acquainted with Dr. Naismith and I am not sure that
he still heads the Physical Education Department. If you can beg,
borrow or get an outline of some of the courses offered I would
be only too happy to have them,

I am now living under the belief that this job offers some pos-
sibilities.

Where do you plan to be the first of September? It may be that
the Markley's will visit in Kansas at that time. There are sev-
eral other little details that you and I might work out relative
to an athletic progran,
