My dear Phog:

That I have not written to you sooner to ex-
press my thanks for your kindness and thoughtfulness
in sending to me a copy of your new book is not an
indication that I have been remiss. I was so steadily
on the go during the time of meetings in the East that
I did not turn around, and on my return here within
an hour or so was on the way to the field. I did
get back to see the basketball game with Oklahoma,
and feel, as you undoubtedly did, that it was a tough
one to drope

I have found time to read quite a little of
the first part of "Better Basketball" and find it very
interesting indeed. I congratulate you on the publi-
cation of a really excellent work that I am sure will
have a very large sale.

Again expressing my thanks and cordial best
wishes, I am
