Allen Director of Physical Education University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas. Dear Sir: I am in receipt of your letter of June 28th. The short cotton sanitary hose that you refer to is the former lastex sock that we offered from the Bike-j/eb, Bauer and Black Mfg. Company of Chicago, which factory have discontinued the manufacture of same since 1937. I recently endeavored to secure a few of these hose from this mill for a large distributor without success, and I regret that it will not be possible for us to supply your requirements. I believe a similar hose is being manufactured by an Eastern mill and have written a friend in New York City endeavoring to learn the name of this firm. If I receive this information, same will be forwarded to you. Very trul MARTIN by Howard E.
