* Superintendent W. M, Richards wrote me and
I told him about Ernie Vanek, who had previously coached
at Harrington and Topeka and did an excellent job at both
places, He is in the Navy at Norman, Oklahoma, but is ex-
‘pecting to get out very soon, Vanek is one of the best ,
high school coaches in the country. |

While at Norman I spoke to Ernie about the
job and can't understand why ke has not written Superintendent
Richards. We will have several good men coming up so I will
not forget yous. I appreciate your writing me.

Curt, there are some things about which I want
to talk confidentially to yous I wish you would let me know
the first time you afte in Lawrence, I want to speak words
with yous
