Military Training Activities

SUBJECT: Military Training at the University of Kansas.

TO: All interested male students.

le <A complete two years course in Basic Military
Training in the Officer's xeserve Corps organization is
available for all male students between the ages of 17
and 23, at this University.

2e Excellent facilities are provided in the New
Military Science Building. They include free text books,
well lighted class rooms, spacious drill hall and indoor
rifle rangee Uniforms are furnished by the Government.

3e Instructim is given by the Commandant and his
assistant, a Technical sergecnt.

4. Four 50 minute periods of instruction are held
weeklye Two hours of classroom instruction and two hours
of drill end command. The Army Orientation Course is in-
cluded.

5e The University allows one and one-third hours
of academic credit for each trimester. Students taking
military training may meet the complusory physical educa-=
tion requirements by «attending classes in that subject one
hour a wecke

6. ROTC training is recanmended for all young students
who anticipate joining the Military Service of the United States.

7. Applicants may call at the Militery Science Building
between 8:00 Ali and 5:30 Fi! daily or phone, Branch 51, WU.

8¢ Enrollment in ROTC must be conplcted on or before
15 March 1945. '
