February 27, 1941 Dear Mre Beauchamp: Thank you very much for your fine letter of neni tions dated February 11 concerning our win over lNebrasktie We were especially pleased with the triumph over the Cornhuskers because they were so big and tough, and in addition they put on an exhibition that was far too cheap for theme They began bickering and mgging our boys with their lipe For instance, the boys who guarded Engleman said, “How is that little trick Inee of yours, Engleman? Well, you might be an Alleimerican in some . leagues but you are going to be an ‘also ran*." And for Bobby Allen they said, "Well, this is Junior, papa 's little ‘boys What are you — going to do tonight, Junior? Ete." it was the cheapest lot of goategetting that I have ever — seen used by men of the caliber of Nebraska. Our audience was aghast betause such cheap tactics had not been employed by the Cornhuskers — heretofore. That is why the victory was just a little sweeter. Bob and Engleman gave en ee a ee was the best answere ; I trust that Mrs. Beauchamp is much serer and that you are in your usual busy and robust healthe With all good wishes, I am, Sincerely yourss Director of Physical Education amd Reorestion ene Basketball Coach FeAslg
