Dear Dr. Allen:

A man claiming to have known you a few years

back, Thayer M. Boardman, has outlined a job which
he did for you under the head of Jay Hawk Juniors,
as a@ promotional scheme to make the unoccupied
seats at the football games and the K.U. Relays
show a profit.

Since leaving school he has taken a course at Huff's
Business Colleger~@ble to take shorthand at 120 words
per minute and type at 60, which is average or above.

As a Ke Ue man of 1930, it strikes me that this sort
of work would be advantageous to the Athletic Depart-
ment in interesting the youngsters in the activities

of our school. I am writing you for your consideration
and opinion of this chap to be placed into your office
as @ secretary-stenographer to promote this Jay Hawk
Junior plan as a perennial operation. He offers to do
this at any reasonable figure that could be decided
upon between you.

Would appreciate your immediate answer as to how this
strikes your fancy.
