In assigning point-values to activities or achievement standards, the avail-
‘ability of each of the several items must be considered. One which is limited to
a small group such as golf, should not be assigned an inordinately high value,
for in such a case the favored few would have a great advantage over the larger
group. It should be a principle to award points on an equitable basis for
certain standards of achievement or of participation, and to add small bonuses
for winners of tournaments or for very superior achievement in highly specialized
lines. The whole student group should be provided equal opportunity to receive
recognition. The winning of a championship, or the performance of "stars" are to
be considered less than participation as such, by many individuals."

must be making a passing grade in all subjects. All points involving a period
of time are to be kept for eight consecutive months.
