Ah Baseball See Chapter V Page 35 Bowling May be used indoors or out of doors with regular ten pins and almost any kind of ball. Box Hockey See Chapter IV Page 32 Dodge Ball | This is a good game for younger children and can be used for competition between groups. There are a number of different ways of playing dodge ball -- square, round, individual, etc. End Ball This is a game of low organization that takes care of large groups. It is a very good game to play indoors on rainy days. Protect the end wall of gym 4' high instead of basketball goal. Field Hockey See Chapter III Page 27 Hand Ball See Chapter IV Page 32 Hand Tennis A miniature tennis court is marked on two sidewalk squares, the floor or hard level ground and a regular tennis game is played using the palm of the hand for a racquet. The only variance from regulation tennis is that the ball is dropped and served on the first bounce instead of the regular tennis serve. Heels A game similar to shuffleboard since the marking of the target and scoring is the same. The contestant stands about 10 feet away and each tosses 2 large rubber heels in turn the same as the order used in horseshoe tossing. These may be purchased at a dime store. Jacks Use the same types of tournaments as marbles either between teams or on a point system basis. See page 37. Marbles A tournament between members of the different teams may be held and the winners play the winners of other teams or a tournament between all teams entered may be held. Each spring in Atlantic City a national marbles tournament is held and if interest is sufficient this might be kept in mind for winners and runners up. See page 38. Pin Ball . This is a very good game for boys using basketball technique but knocking down a ten-pin instead of shooting a goal.
