Dear Phog:

I note with interest in the Kansas City papers that the
National Collegiate Athletie Association will
convene in Kansas City next March.

Our remodeling program is nearing completion, in fact,
we have taken up quarters in the new lobby and
when you see it, you will agree there is nothing
like it in the Middle West. It is very spacious
and luxurious.

The new Coffee Shop and Penguin Room is in operation also,
and Cocktail Lounge will open within the next week
or two. All the meeting rooms on the fifth floor
are being recarpeted and redecorated, some of which
will be air-conditioned.

The bedroom floors are also being refurnished. One hundred
new double beds are already in place.

At your convenience, Doctor, I would like very much to drive
up to Lawrence to discuss this meeting with you,
for I believe you would be pleased with our new set-
