Dear Mr. Allens

By way of identification, - I am a graduate of the University,
Be. 8. 1914, EH. Ee 1920. Iwas on Dre Naismith's swimming team,
end ran the Missouri Valley cross-country in 1911, finishing
last. I ran for the Westinghouse Club of Pittsburg and the
Westinghouse Electric Track Team, for which - believe it or

not =- Jock Sutherland was the Coache I was all-round athletic
champion of Springfield, Ohio, for the years 1919 to 1924,
inclusive. I never won a letter.

My current athletic allegiance is divided among Kansas, Michigan
and Bradley College of Peoriae I have a son at Michigan and a
daughter at Bradley.

As you no doubt know, Bradley has had a most excellent Basket

Ball team for the last three or four yearse They went to Madison
Square Garden in 1938 and 1939. During the last two or three

years they have played, and usually beaten, Pitt, Oregon, California,
Nebraska, Duquesne, DePauw, Layola, Rice, and many otherse This
year's team will substantially carry over for a couple of years.

Coach Robertson is going to be in Kansas City Saturday night for
the N. C. A. Ae finals, and may very probably see youe He would,
I think, welcome a game, and the many Kansas alumni here in Peoria
who are strong for Bradley would, nevertheless, enjoy seeing your
boys come here and knock them off. This idea may not at all fit
in with the Big Six Conference requirements but it looks good to
use :
