Dear Wy, Allen:

I received your letter of March 24 regarding the Rules
Committee and Research on Basketball during the past year. 1 will not
be able to get to the Coach's meeting at Atlanta because of work here,
and I am not certain as yet whether I will beable to get away to New
York for the Rulest Meeting. However, I am sending you the results of
my study of the last couple of years and the development of a norm for
basketball shooting. I have been gathering the statistics on College
basketball of attempted shots and baskets made. i will send this to you
to the Hotel McAlpin at New York.
