C.- Allen, President National Ass'n of Basketball Coaches University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear "Phog": Your letter came this morning; also your day letter. Several days ago I sent application for membership blanks, stationery and constitutions together with the statement for their $2.00 dues to all of the officers and some of the others. A few days later I sent the same to all the men on the Membership Committee. Today I mailed stationery out, as per your request, to all chairmen of the various committees excepting the Press Committee of which Mathews of St. Louis is chairman. Why not appoint McNichol of Penn- syivania chairman of the Press Committee in Mathews place and get him busy? I am mailing you twenty-five application blanks which you may wish to use. In another year I could handle all of this material with a great deal more ease than this first one because of so many different movements in getting everything that we should have ready, and I will do my best to help swell the member- ship. I shall mail out application blanks to the colleges and universities in the North Central Conference and the Nebraska Conference and other personal friends I may have. So there may be no duplication of effort, do you not think that you, as President, should write to the various chairmen telling them of their duties on their particular committees in order to have a live program at our meeting in April? If there is any part of this that you - wish me to do, please outline it and I shall get at it right away. With kindest regards, 1 am Most cordially yours, Aa AAS :GP
