SPEICHER THE CREIGHTON UNIVERSITY Department of Athletics OMAHA September 20, 1927 Re:: F.: Gs Alien; -Birector of Athletics University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear "Phog": Replying to your letter of September 17, no, I did not write €. Ms Price, University of California, beeause I settled that with him before we left Chicago. This will explain my action to you. Regarding the second paragraph in your letter, I know the man you are writing about and while this man may indulge at times he has been grossly thsrepresented to you. At least, as far as my knowledge is concerned--I know of only one occasion where he might have been in this condition and will explain the circumstances to you later, which I know you will understand. While it does not meet with my approval or yours, I do not think that is a habit with this fellow. I am now preparing our stationery and our book with the constitution printed. Have heard definitely from all committee members except Murray, Schlademan, Mather, McNichol and Beresfora. .[ think it is a matter of form but want their official acceptance in writing. With kindest regards, I am Sincerely yours, wu Director of Athletics AAS: GP
