CG. Allen of Kansas University, who was President of the temporary orgen- gation started at Des Moines. His talk covered the various reasons for organizing this association and was well accepted. The minutes of the Des Moines meeting were read by A» A- Schabinger of Creighton University, Secretary of the temporary organization. On a motion made by Mr. Andreas of Syracuse University, seconded by Mr. Matthews of St. Louis University, the minutes were approved as read. This was followed by a reading of the proposed constitution for the permanent organization, read by the temporary Secretary~- gi Treasurers A discussion of the various articles was held, with: Pe practically every coach taking part. After carefully considering each oe article, & motion was made by “r. Ruby of Illinois University, svcended ,.. by Mr. Lambert of Purdue University, to accept the constitution as — a read. Carried unanimously- Following the adoption of the constitution, it was necessary that permanent officers be elected for the coming year. fhe President appointed Mr. Murray of Marquette University Chairman and Mr. Ruby of Illinois University and Mr. Owen of Oklahowa University as the nomin- ating committee. A recess was held until they brought back their report. Mr. Murray as Chairman returned with the following report: That in the opinion of the Nominating Committee Dr. F. C. Allen of Kansas University should be elected President; Mr. J. Craig Ruby of Illinois University, lst Vice-President; Mr. L. P. Andreas, Syracuse University, 2nd Vice-President; Mr. C. M. Price, California University, 3rd Vice-President; and Mr. A. A. Schabinger, Creighton University, Secretary-Treasurer. A motion by Mr. Kline of Hastings read; That the above named officers be elected by acclamation as submitted. Carried unanimously - It was agreed that the five officers seiectcfour other basketball coaches to become members of the Board.of Trustees. dos There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
