Edward HIRAM COLLEGE HIRAM, OHIO October 13, 1941 Mr. A. Lester Crapser, Secretary Waismith Memorial Comittee Springfield, Massachusetts Dear Mr. Crapser: Recently I returned the card indicating that we would be willing to conduct a "Golden Ball" game during the 1941-42 season. We will plan to meet Mount Union College on February 4th. It is alleged that Mount Union and Hiram played the first intercollegiate basketball game in Ohio, so I believe it would be quite appropriate to designate the Mount Union-Hiram game as the "Golden 11" game. It has been many years since we had such a thing as "net proceeds" for our basketball games. Hence, it will be necessary for us to contribute a per cent of the gross receipts. Unless I hear to the contrary, I shall assume this will be satisfactory. Cordially yours, H. C. Matthews, Director Dept. Physical Education ECM: DIP
