I was pleased indeed to have your letter of the 14th instant
and it is a pleasure to write a recomeniation for you for officer
training at the Coast Guard Academy.

We follow you pretty closely in the films and at every
opportunity we see you. Congratulations on your climb. You are
Going a fine job of it.

We are just leaving with the team for a basketball game at
Camp Crowder, Missouri, so you will pardon the brevity of this
- letter. I would enjoy writing you at some length if my schedule
did not call me elsewhere.
