Dear Ruth: Zam sorry that I missed you and your brother when you were here for the homecoming football game. It so happened that I was chairman of the Nomination Committee that selected the officers for the U. of Kansas World War II Memorial, the Scenic Driveway with Campanile. I an enclosing one of these for your perusal, as I thought you might like’to read about it. They always arrange & setup like that for us so that we are never in our offices, _beeause the university oi’ficials realize that it is a good time to have a meeting of that kind to get the old timers back. ‘Then there were two or three crippled high school boys who wanted me to examine their injured knees, so I was busy as a perverbial one-armed paper hanger with the itch. I did want to see you but it was impossible. I see that they are giving you plenty of work to do and I know you like that. The fact that you have transferred back. to the athletic office, I am sure is a happy experience for you. The added fact that you are in Pensacola in the winter time shouldn't make you unhappy either. I certainly envy an opportunity to bask in the Florida sunshine this winter. : yo I am also sending you our varsity basketball schedule, — as I though you would like to see one. | With all good wishes for your continued suecess, I am ‘Sincerely yours, Director of Physical Education, Varsity Basketball Coach.
