Dear Doc:

Haven't heard a word of you or from you or by you since
school was out and I am wondering if you and the family
are altogether and intact. As a matter of fact, I have
seen hardly anyone from Lewrence with the exception of
Vie Hurt, with whom I witnessed the All Ster game in Chicago
last week.

I expect to be in Lewrence Sunday, having Ann in
tow who will start at the Alma Mater for a glorious career,
I hopee I have made her a great speech about the record of
the Nettels which, if examined closely, might not augur
well for my hopes and aspirations for her, but anyhow she
loafed so completely at Stephens that I am a little concerned
about what she will do at the University. If she does as
good a job loafing there as she did at Columbia, she will
no doubt be sent homee

Sometime during the afternoon I shall drop by and renew
my acquaintance with the family.
