To explain a little further, our Chancellor has asked me to serve on a committee to investigate the remedial measures of other institutions, especially those covering the following points: 1. The method of determining who needs remedial instruction. 2. What special techniques of remedial instruction or eorrection are given, if any. 5. The types of remedial instruction provided. 4, The method of administering this remedial pro- gram, that is, is each department responsible for its own students, or is there some central agency responsible for diagnosing for treatment. 5. What is the cost of this program, 6. How effective has the program been.
