I am sorry, indeed, that I missed you and Mrs. Burt when ‘you were up
for the Homecoming Game with Kansas State. 1+ happened that they had a
Second World War Memorial Meeting and since I was one of the board I was
supposed to be present. That accounts for my absence from the offices
= so happens that most of those things are oalled during Homecoming, th
very time when one would like to be in the office to — old friends, 3

George Nettels came down to the house after the game and seemed ime
mensely pleased as I am sure you and Mrs. Burt were pleased at Duke's fine
