: You were wight, that was Bob Allen at the California
golf olub. Your eyes are awfully good if you can pick a native .
Kaneas out at that distance, or do they emanate a fragrant odor
that you can tell that species from that distance. ‘

Bob finished his interneship at Bell July lst. Six
days from the time he signed the War Department inquiring of
Navy Bnlistmerit, he had been sworn in, bought his uniforms, made
his will, and was on a Union Pacific pullman headed for Friscos
Is that speed or is that just terrific speed. Bob was staying
at my daughters, Mrs. Mary P. Hamilton, 860 Center Drive,

| Thanks for your kind words regarding the Rebounds. In
this morning's mail I received a letter from Bill Replogle and he
said he had seen Howard Engleman at Oak Knoll, and it was fine to
see and te know he is recovering’in splendid shape.

We will be tickled to death to have you home when this
dameble fuss is over, but we have got to slap the Nips flat before
they will realige that they are completely whipped.
