I was interested in your letter to Mr.

Keith at the University of Oklahoma. The statements

you made in your letter, so far as my end of it is

concemed, are exactly right, and I admire your stand
in this matter.

There probably are a lot of people who think

you should not have started the situation, but I see no
reason to have rules which are not enforced. Through a
good many years of association with you I heppen to know
you do live by the rules and enforce them. I see no

use in allowing Oklahoma or any other school to handle
their ethics as they see fit without consideration for
any one else.
