the Charlie Blacks of K.U., I em happy to tell you that
Charlie Black of 1921-22-23 fame was from Alton, Tllinois.
It is he whom we designate the greatest living Kansas
athlete.

Charles 3. Black of Lawrence, Kansas, formerly of
fopeka, and Southwest High of Kansas City, is the 6 ft. 4 in.
all-round athlete. I made this statement regarding Charlie
Black of Lawrence, the present athlete - that I thought he
played one of the best defensive games that I had seen.
Then when he played against Missouri I said he played one
of the finest offensive games that I had seen, and his
fensive that night was outstanding.
