Dear Fred:

Congratulations first upon being the head of a family,
- and secondly upon your fine work in Denver where your team
won the National A.A.U. Championship.

Now, reverting back to that fine little daughter of yours.
I am sure that I extended words of congratulation upon the .
arrival of the young lady, but here's another one just in
case I overlooked that very necessary detail.

T am very glad that you like your job in the Department
of Economics, and I am sure that that goal-throwing of yours
last Saturday night in Denver didn't hurt your job any.

I know how conspicuous you feel as a civilian. Doubtless
it won't be long before you will be insisting that you get in.
